This past week I had the pleasure of participating in the Independent Study Mentorship (ISM) , Research Showcase at the Ford Center in Frisco, TX. The ISM Research Showcase featured the , hard work of ISM students from the Frisco Independent School District. Students had spent the , first semester developing their project ideas, interviewing professionals, finding mentors, and , researching their field. I presented my research on the Internet of Things, Augmented Reality, , and User Interface Design. I also presented my original work “Making the Unreal Real”, research , that I had done which focused on the impact of 3 aspects of renderings: shadows, lighting, and , reflections. The goal of the original work was to aid developers in prioritizing the different , aspects of a rendering. At the event I was also able to introduce numerous people to the , technology of augmented reality. Not only did I present my own work, but I was also able to , learn more about other students work. It was a great experience to present my work to various , people and talk about the different things I learned over the past 18-weeks. Overall it was an , amazing opportunity to share my work with various people from the community and introduce , more people to Augmented Reality. , , , , ,
